As you guys know, last year I blogged as I read the nonfiction book Dogland. I feel like I blogged the book way too slowly, so this year I declare to pick up the pace and stick to a schedule. I know the first two books I will be reading and blogging about, so read on to find out!

I want to share my reading plan with you in the hopes that you will be interested in reading along. I plan on starting with the book Strays by Jennifer Caloyeras. Jennifer was kind enough to send me a copy of her novel way back when and I feel terrible that it’s taken me this long to get to it. (I fall into this terrible habit of prioritizing library books over books that I own – I have piles of owned books to get to!) So, let’s start with that one!

I plan on doing weekly or biweekly posts as I read along, beginning Sunday, January 7th.

Following Strays, I would like to read and blog about Last Chain on Billie: How One Extraordinary Elephant Escaped The Big Top by Carol Bradley. I bought the book from one of my favorite Instagram book shops, Wolfgang Vintage, sometime last year but haven’t had the chance to get to it yet.
